You and I will never share
another summer's day.
I gave up any chance of that
the day I walked away.
You and I will never share
another autumn sky.
Gather leaves like little children
As they fall from way up high.
You and I will never share
another Xmas day.
Build snowmen with the children
Or watch them as they play.
You and I will never share
another early spring
To see the snowdrops as they grow
And hear the church-bells ring.
All these things I treasure now,
Now that it's too late.
