I've done the best I can.
Of course I've made my own mistakes,
For I am but a man.

I've taken sorrow in my stride
Have hidden many tears.
For no matter how strong a man appears
He still has many fears.

There have been times when all seemed lost
Yet I rose each weary day.
For in my heart I knew that I
Just had to find a way.

A way to turn my life around
When all seemed black ahead.
I sought the light, I fought the fight
After all,I wasn't dead.

I've risen from a knock-out blow
When my body screamed,"Enough."
But I battled on and fought my foe
Although my foe was tough.

I stood my ground and battled back
Using all the tricks I'd learnt.
Till in the end my foe gave in
I triumphed in the end.
