Intro: Sometimes the quality of the journalism is not the main criterion: I was sitting somewhat uncomfortably -
Filled with a sense of unease -
It sounds obscene,
But I grabbed a magazine -
Firstly, Loaded chafed my cold dead knees.

Hello was much too glossy,
Bride was not better but worse,
Private Eye was abrasive
And far too invasive,
Men's Health offered quite the reverse.

Good Housekeeping left me totally weeping,
I fingered through Tatler with ease,
I knew People's Friend
Would get me in the end,
Esquire was dire and a total waste of trees.

Cosmopolitan distributed it widely,
Auto Trader didn't have the cc,
Ironically, Vogue
Featured Kylie Minogue
While Which? was a bitch, had no answers for me.

Country Living was too unforgiving,
Bazaar kind of spoke for itself,
And then - relieved sigh -
From the corner of my eye
I spied the Andrex on their shelf.
