Intro: my first entry from my collection of hundreds that I have written over the years

over and over again

My love is a fire that burns so deep

A fire so hot that sometimes I weep

All bottled up inside do I keep

Passion is the fuel that makes my heart beat

I cannot love just anyone I meet

She has to be special,tender,and sweet

To prove myself is no easy feat

To taste her kiss is my only treat

A glimpse ahead, do I dare peek

Hers is the only love that I seek

My heart still bleeds a slow, steady leak

I have to have her every day, every week

A love that is real, don't bring me the fake

Here I am waiting how long does it take

Only her happiness, this will I make

Or I will die trying, for all heavens sake

Who stands in my way, aside will I rake

A kiss for only me is the icing of cake

Outstretched to her, a hand do I lend

A heart full of love only to send

Two broken hearts, this will I mend

To be not just a lover but also a friend

Her very soul, my life will I tend
