There's no need to tell me,
Everything we had is gone,
No need for tears, no need for sighs
No need to carry on.
For I see it in your eyes
In the way you look at me
There's no love there any more
The way there used to be.
We were the perfect couple
Least others thought we were.
Always laughing, always kind
For others, always there.
And then she walked into our lives
You sensed it right away
She was temptation, I was blind
To her wiley female ways.
She led me to another life
I'd never known before.
Another place, another time
Another way to go.
But it ended oh so quickly
When I saw her other side
And now I'm all alone again
A fool who shed his pride.
What can I say?
What can I do?
Is there a way back home to you?
Or must I live my life this way,
A broken man who lost his way.
I only know how much I miss
The sweetness of your tender kiss
And perhaps someday you'll turn and say,
"Come back to me, I still love you."
