Will I find the words to say
The things that will restore your faith
Chase memories away.
I know the things I did were wrong
And words I said hurt deep
But now I feel you what you have felt
No longer do I sleep.
The sleep of a contented man
My slumbers racked with guilt
The pillow stained with tears I've spent
The twistings in the quilt.
Yes I deserve the cruel taunts
that bustle though my head
The acrid laughter at my plight
The living of the dead.
For I will never be the same
The man that you once knew
The question still remains my love,
Can I come back to you?
