Life In A Coma
It was stark,
it was safe,
there were animals,
I remember the animals. There was vacuum,
a self-styled tomb
to seal the vagrants
who came to steal my mind.I felt fire
raging below me
as I hung on the precipice
calling to no-one in particular.I saw Gods,
offering hands,
smiling their love secret,
they would allow to share.I saw you
in a vision,
changing my channels
with innocent acceptance.I walked away
to embrace the warmth,
I thought civilisation had deserted me
when they bowed down to pick up the bomb.
