- Intro: the resistance makes an offense with a risky mission. the corp never knew what hit them.
As she silently slipped down the hall, lira scoped for and security or traps of anykind. her installed database calculated every stir in the room, and every time it spotted movement, she reacted quicker than you could blink. Lira truly was a masterpiece. her bone and sinew and muscle stronger than any prized weight lifted on steroids, her senses honed sharper than any animal, the reflexes of a lightening bolt, and the intelligence of a wise man, even before her database and internal tech had been installed. and to top it off...she was beautiful and charming enough for the most stubborn buisnessman to comply to her wishes. but why was she on this mission, you ask? to stop the corp.
the corp. the most vile and corrupt of all companies...or more like, regimes. they were experimenting with homicidal androids, were kidnapping innocent people for insane experiments, and inventing weapons of mass destruction, and even worse, they had enough money to brush off any suit filed against them. the resistance had been trying too stop them for years, and many of their infiltration attempts had failed. then lira had joined them, and it had been the best that had ever happened to them. ever since the corp had destroyed her family, her life, she was in for revenge. it had killed EVERYTHING she knew and ever knew, and was ready to fight back. she volunteered to have a computer and database, as well as an eyescreen installed. many had doubts about this, but in fact, it controlled no part of her, just hightened her responses and reflexes, the rest she did herself. she was here to take the corp down. she needed revenge, and intended to get it.
the corridor split into two, and her computer pulled up the map of the building. which way to the lab? a left turn. she closed the image and stealthily made her way down the right hall. "lira," dex spoke to her through her earpiece," there's security cams down the hall, i'm putting the image on loop right now, but you still need to be careful. riiiight...now." she shot down the hall, racing past the rooms filled with cubicles, where the indoctrinated workers sat blindly at the desks, noticing nothing.
"okay" dex said again." there are some guys in front of you that you'll need to take out, make it quiet, we can't risk being discovered yet." Lira fell into a crouch, getting ready to pounce on her prey. to bulky idiots were down the flourescent lit corridor, talking to each other. "you see the game last night?"the blond one asked. the dark one grunted. "chiefs are doin good." the other one grunted again."wait" the dark one turned, "chiefs suck." the other one growled" you suck" that did it for those childish men. when they were distracted, Lira flew to them and knocked their heads together. they never saw it coming. she stried the door. "dex." she whispered in the earpiece,"the door's locked, can you bypass it's code?" dex laughed like it was a joke." of course i can't Lira! why would you ever get the notion that i could open a door?" he said with sarcasm. "just open the damn door, dex" she replied.the door's light's turned green and it slid open.here was the entrance to the lab. the first door closed behind her. the second one still red. "dex-" she started, but he was one step ahead."i know, there are scientists in there.though, you ready?""yes" lira replied. she took out her silenced plasma pistol and turned the automatic targeting on. when i say silenced, i mean, literally, COMPLTELY SILENT. it made no noise whatsoever, which was why you were screwed if you were those scientists. the door slid open.and she leaped out into the almost pure white room. the scientists only took a breath before one of them lay dead on the floor, blood pooling around them. the other whipped out a taze, expecting the slow kind of person. not this time. lira always wondered how such evil and smart scientists could be so STUPID.seriously, now, that was an insult to the resistance. oh well, this guy wouldn't live to telll about it.
the alarms suddenly went off. shit she thought. "dex!" she yelled, "turn that thing the hell off!" "i'm on it." he replied calmly. that was the thing about dex, even in the worst situations, he was always calm, that was one of the things lira admired about him. the alarms shut off within two more seconds."they no doubt heard that" dex said"steal the files and implant the virus, and then get the hell out of there." Lira did that. putting a flashdrive into the usb port, she downloaded the test files off the terminal and delted them forever. the then implanted the virus into the sytem and rushed out of the lab, hearing the chatter of the upcoming security guards' walkie talkies.when they entered the room, they saw no signs of struggle. one lab down lira thought, four more to go.
