- Intro: She came from nowhere......................
I really don't know why she chose me. There was I, sitting alone on the bench in the countryside reading my newspaper in the sunshine.
A perfect, undisturbed and tranquil scene.
As I was about to turn the page, I saw her feet.
Lowering the paper my gaze travelled slowly up her lithe body until our eyes met. Now I am usually not attracted to damsels with brown eyes, but when they are topped with golden shining hair, then they make an irresistible combination.
We gazed at each other for a moment and then I gently asked her if she would care to join me on the bench.
Without hesitation she was by my side in a trice.
She continued to gaze at me with those big brown eyes, full of tenderness and hope.
Feeling a little embarrassed I reached into my pocket and took out my bar of "Kit-Kat".
It was rather obvious that she was hungry and would like a piece of my chocolate, so I broke the bar into four pieces and offered them to her.
She delicately ate each piece until all four were gone. She looked at me enquiringly and I laughed as I explained that there was no more to be had.
I then lit a cigarette and it was rather ovious from her expression that this was something that she had no need of.
She seemed quite content to sit beside me there on the bench. We must have appeared to outsiders to be a long aquainted couple.
I felt quite proud to be in the company of such a beauty.
Gathering my courage I slowly slid my arm along the back of the bench until I had reached her shoulders. She made no complaint, and so I slowly stroked her silken mane and brushed my fingers against her face. She appeared to like this for she responded by snuggling even closer to me.
Placing my other are around her I held her close and whispered to her gently; "I suppose I'll have to walk you to the pound. Your owner will be searching everywhere for you."
