God
Piercing light burned through my eyes,
I thought myself blind,
then before me, standing in the rain,
a man,
He said He was God
And I would have believed Him but
He looked just like me.My friend said a strange thing,
left me in awe, in wonderment of words,
he claimed you were just like him,
a man,
who said He was God,
I believed him then,
He knew I would. He spoke of many things to me
of which I not yet comprehend,
I know I shall at a time when I,
a man,
come to walk with God
and believe in Him
as I know I should. He talked much of love, its uniqueness,
as He explained, I saw sadness in His eyes
for the way beating hearts had been raped,
by man,
who scorn God,
who believe Him not,
He didn't understand why.All His existence, He knew much of loneliness,
the torment of the unloved in isolation,
back through time and space when He was just
a man,
who created the God
for those who would believe in Him
like He thought they would. He created a world of magic and dragons,
where splendour and fable were in abundance,
He created a plague which destroyed all and it
was man,
thinking he was God,
who he believed in not,
walking in His image. He gave all love to His latest creation,
it only turned its back on reality,
to create demons He could not understand,
this man,
this creation of God,
who He believed in,
He knows not what went wrong. He spanned countless ages in search,
seeking knowledge for the answers
for failure was not in His glorious plans
for man,
a heartbreak for God,
who only sought belief,
an end to all His loneliness. Now He is back from His unfruitful search,
He fears time runs short for the Universe,
Ships are preparing to sail the warrior race
Of man,
In search of God
That I had belief in
And respected far more today.‘Why does your race scorn me and hate me so much?
I ask only for love to heal my broken heart',
the meaning of life itself and He asked me,
a man,
a lover of God
in my belief of Him
and I could answer Him naught.
