- Intro: It's never what it seems
- "Hush." John whispered to his wife Maggie as they hid in the dark cramped corner in the back of their bedroom closet.
"Do you think he can hear us?" Maggie asked moving closer to her husband.
"He will if you don't be quiet." John whispered pressing his index finger to his lips. He placed his hands on Maggie's upper arms moving her so that he switched position with her to stand in front. "I think I hear him in the bedroom, be real still. Hopefully he will leave and look in the other room, if he does that then we will make our escape." John said while wrapping his arms around his wife pulling her closer to him.
"My heart is racing..." Maggie admitted burying her face in her husband chest.
John held his breath, convinced that will make him hear more clearly. He could hear the sounds of bare feet stomping noisily on the hardwood floor, every once in awhile the stomping would stop for several seconds before starting over again. "He's not leaving; it's just a matter of time before he figure out he did not check the closet and open the door. I got an idea. When the door open I will rush him, I want you to run around us as fast as you can and get to safety." John declared with a stern look on his face.
Maggie shook her head back and forth, "No, I don't want you to get caught..."
John smiled as he looked down at his wife, "What's the point of both of us getting caught."
Maggie thought about that for a second, "I guess you are right. Listen...I think he's walking towards the door...sshh...the door knob is turning."
John turned around making sure Maggie stood directly behind him, he slightly turned his head and whispered. "Ok, when the door opens I will tackle him and you get out of here." The door began slowly opening...."Ok Maggie run!" John yelled as he charged, picking his six year old son up off of the floor.
"I gotcha daddy, you're it!" Little Johnny said laughing and squirming in his father's arm.
"I know, I know you got me." John also lauhged as he swung his son around in the air before placing him back on the floor.
"Let's go get mommy!" Little Johnny began running towards the living room, John chased behind him.
"I'm safe, I'm safe!" Maggie sang as she jumped up and down in front of the couch.
"I got daddy mommy! Daddy's it!" Johnny ran to his mother wrapping his arms around her waist. John dropped his head and stuck out his bottom lip.
"I guess you are just too smart and too fast for me buddy. I had no chance to win." He teased winking his eye at his son.
Little Johnny smile lit up the room as he looked at his father, "Let's play again daddy."
John walked to the couch reached out and touched his son on top of the head. "Ok, I'm going to count to ten, you guys go hide." John stood beside his wife turning his back to his family; he covered his eyes with his hand and began counting. Maggie grabbed Johnny by the hand and ran with him out of the living room and through the house.
