Hanna: I stepped into the warm quiet coffee house and breathed in. Mmmmm, I loved the smell of ground cocoa beans. I came for my job interview. I needed the extra money since I just moved out of my parent’s house back in L.A. I looked around for someone to direct me where to go but nobody was in sight and the franchise was dead. “Hello?” A guy my age stepped out of the back. He was tall and dark skinned, like the color of melted dark chocolate. He was also big, not fat, but built. I could see his muscle through his tight, white shirt. He also wore low riding khaki shorts that showed his boxers.
“Hey, uh the boss is busy right now. What do you need?” He stared at me with his bright blue eyes, unusual for a guy like him. His voice was deep and had the accent everyone around here had.
“I came here for my job interview.” Behind him there was a sound of glass breaking. Startled, he jumped and turned around angrily, “Reece!” I peered around him and saw a girl, also our age with purple streaks in her straight, bleach blonde hair. She looked up with regret in her eyes. “Sorry, just a little clumsy I guess.” The guy turned back to me and held out his hand.
“I’m Xavier and that’s Reece. Welcome to your new job. You start tomorrow at 5 A.M.” I shook his hand and thanked him. I could feel he was strong, and you probably wouldn’t want to get in a fight with him.
Xavier: She walked out, surprised that I immediately gave her the job. We needed the extra help. I turned back to Reece, who dumped the clean dishes on the floor, breaking a couple. That was coming out of both are pay checks. “Will boss be mad?” She looked at me worriedly. I shook my head. He was never here anyway and I’ve only seen him twice. We talked through his office door upstairs and I talked to him on the phone but I didn’t actually know him.
It was just me, Reece and now the new girl, Hanna was her name. She was pretty. Dark brown hair, twisted into a loose side braid that was tied together with a tiny black ribbon, and white-grey eyes. Reece followed me everywhere; she was my best friend who was in love with my other best friend, Drake. “She looks nice.” I nodded, “Yeah, nice.”
Hanna: I walked up to my apartment door and reached for the key on the top of the frame. I wasn’t there. I cursed under my breath and tried at the door. It was unlocked so I slowly opened it, cautiously looking around inside. I heard footsteps but couldn’t locate them. My heart felt like it was beating out of my chest, fast and hard.
“Is someone there?” I heard about people down here. Back in L.A. there were break-ins all the time but the cops were there faster than you could call. There was probably one cop, since it was the smallest town in Georgia. I felt someone breathing on my shoulder but before I could turn around they grabbed my hips and wrapped their arms around my waist. I struggled and cried out, “Get off me!” I heard a man laugh, “Baby, it’s just me.” It was Kevin, the guy I hooked up with at the club last week, my first week in Georgia. He was older than me, like 28 and I was only 19. He knew where the key was hidden because we came back to my apartment.
I let out a breath of relief, “God, Kev, you scared the shit out of me! Now let me go.” I giggled but he didn’t release his tight, painful grip on my sides. “Where have you been and why haven’t you called me back?” He barked. I laughed, “You didn’t actually think we were serious, did you? I mean, it was just for the weekend, remember?” He pushed me on the hard wooden floor and kicked my left shoulder, throwing it out of place. I screamed in pain. “Shut up!” He spit in my face and stomped out of the house, slamming the front door.
Xavier: I was cleaning the tables when she walked in. Reece ran to her, “Hanna!” She smiled but sounded tired, “Morning.” Today she wore capris, an enormous pullover that hid her upper body, and shades that looked expensive. Ugh, city girls. I walked over to them and handed Hanna a pen and paper to take orders. “I’ll be in the back if you need me.” She nodded slightly and turned back to take to Reece. I turned back to look at Reece, she looked excited to finally have a girl her age in town besides Jessica and Bailey.
Hanna: My shoulder still hurt from yesterday, I managed to pop it back in place and lock the door, they key was still missing. He also managed to give me a bruise on my eyebrow so I wore sunglasses. Nobody seemed to notice. Xavier looked angry or suspicious, I couldn’t tell and Reece was talking like she’d been stranded on an island for weeks and just found help.
The day has gone by slow, there has been only five customers, two just stopping to ask for directions. Reece was now mopping the floor while I sat in a booth reading today’s newspaper. I haven’t seen Xavier all day and I started to think he ran away. Just One more hour until I could go home. The bell that hung on the door rang and I got up, ready to take someone’s order. It was an old man, about 50 or so.
Xavier came out of the back and shook the man’s hand, “Sir, this is Hanna, our new employee.” He gestured to me. The grey haired man looked me up and down, walked behind me, and smoothed his hand over the counter. “Sir…?” Xavier looked agitated. “Calm down, Michael! I’m just looking to see how clean the bar is! By the way Hanna, you can call me Mr. Spencer.” Reece tried to keep a straight face but had a tiny smirk. “It’s Xavier, sir.” Mr. Spencer looked up, confused, “What?” Xavier looked down, “My name’s not Michael, sir. It’s Xavier.”
Xavier: The boss had gotten older since the last time I saw him. He was behind Hanna now, his hands on her shoulders. He massaged them and she winced in pain, flinching. “What’s wrong Ms. Hanna?” He smiled at her odd. “Uh, I think I fell asleep wrong, they are just sore.” He nodded and made his way past the counter and up to his office. Reece giggled, “Ok, Michael it’s time for me to go home now. I’ll see you tomorrow. Hanna, call me tonight!” I shook my head and smiled back. “Sorry about that, Hanna he’s a little strange. It’s weird that you got to meet him your first day.” She smiled, white perfect teeth glowing. “I’m going to head out too. Need a ride?”
“Nah, I’ll be fine.” I shut off the lights and followed her out. Her blue beat up truck Sat out in the rain, rusting. “Where’s your car?” She questioned. I pointed, “Out back.” She waved bye and ran to her truck and drove away. Once she was out of sight I started walking to Drake’s, who still lived with his mom. I was staying with them for a while until I saved enough money to get back on my feet. I paid rent so I didn’t feel bad.
Hanna: I was almost home when my car stopped three miles away from my apartment. Damn it! I just sat there, not knowing what to do or who to call. Few cars passed by, a few honked since I was in the middle of the road. I had enough gas, so I decided to look under the hood. I got out and couldn’t figure out how to open it. Another car drove by and suddenly stopped and reversed, rolling down its windows. It was Kevin, again. “Well, what do you know? Hop in. I’ll take you back.”
“I’m fine.” I said firmly. He got out and came face to face with me, rain pouring down on his face. “Get in.” I shook my head, “Fine.” I got in his red car and he drove me home. Once he got in the driveway he stopped the car. “You’re not coming in.” I was about to get out of the car when he reached over and kissed me hard and long. I didn’t kiss back but I didn’t force him to stop. When we did stop he smiled, “I’m coming inside.” I nodded and we ran out of the rain and into my enclosed but screened porch where he started taking off his pants.
“Not here.” He licked his lips,” Baby, I can’t wait.” I can’t believe I was doing this. He hurt me! I needed it though. I haven’t had sex in a month! I watched as he took off the rest of his clothes and then started at mine. Once we were completely naked he shoved me against the wall hard, hurting my back. “Wrap your legs around me!” He growled. Our bodies were wet from the rain but it felt good. I obeyed his order and jumped up onto him, wrapping my legs around his waist while he kissed my neck. He pushed me harder against the wall and put his sweaty hot dick inside of me.
I cried out in pain, “Fuck!” He held onto my hips and grinded my body against his as he sucked on my breast. He pumped me up and down repeatedly until I stopped him, “The neighbors are going to see.” I whined. He rolled his eyes and took me inside, my legs still wrapped around him. He set me on the couch and lay down next to me,
“Do me, baby, do me.” Willingly, I bent down and sucked. He cummed into my mouth, I couldn’t swallow there was so much so I started choking. I spit it out and cried, “Kevin I’m sorry.” Kevin got up and put his pants on, “You could do better next time.” He shook his head and left, leaving me naked and used. I checked my phone, still 4pm. We only lasted half an hour. Still naked, I fell asleep on the soft couch, curled up in a ball, tired from my hard day.
Xavier: Reece knocked one more time at her door, “Are you sure this is her house?” I asked. “Duh, I saw her move in last week.” We were going to invite her to a party that one of Drake’s friends from out of town was throwing. “I give up, maybe she’s out.” We were about to leave when the front door opened. Hanna had crazy hair and a robe on. “Uh, guys! What are you doing here?”
