Intro: Rachel loves to read. So one day she looks in her mother's secret book cupboard and chaos ensues.

Rachel is the average 12 year old. The only thing different is her passion for reading was more deeply rooted in her soul than anyone she knew. Rachel's love for reading brought her to her mother's forbidden book cupboard. As well as a book-lover, Rachel was very curious so she took her chances and opened the cupboard and pulled a fat purple leather book out of the cupboard and ran with it back to her room. Rachel had always assumed the books were forbidden because they were extremely inappropriate or scary for her but she took one look at the cover and she knew she was wrong. The title read "The Jumbo Book of Spells and Potions, A-Z". She flipped through the first 2 yellowing pages and found the table of contents. On page 52 there was a spell for making people obese in 30 minutes flat. Perfect for Tanya, my all-time arch enemy, especially since every class at her school was 45 minutes long, so it would take 2 thirds of the lessons for the process to take place and she would have 15 minutes to marvel at the effects. (Sorry, I meant Tanya was Rachel's arch enemy not mine! Sorry!) On the 23rd page there was a spell for making people become 5 years younger. "Perfect for Gertrude, the class cry-baby who acts like she's 8 all the time anyway. All this will do is make her look an age to match her personality." thought Rachel. On page 89 there was a spell to swap 2 people's bodies (not including yourself, that was on page 76). "Just the thing for Sally and Jen, the 2 girls who beat everyone at being enemies." Rachel thought. In small print at the bottom of the table of contents Rachel found "All spells wear off in 2 days after being cast.".

Rachel confidentally walked into English class the next day, "Hey Frog-Face, gonna pelt us with nonsense words today?" asks Tanya. "Actually I'm dedicating a few strings of them from a good book I saw, to some of the class." answers Rachel. Rachel points her index finger of her right hand at Tanya. "For you my sweet Tanya, dedicumus reobeus furthoibeliup!" says Rachel. She turns her finger to Gertrude. "For you my dear Gertrude, cryadru bfabiuf radvgbi!" exclaims Rachel. She now has both her index fingers pointed at Sally and Jen. Rachel mumbles more nonsense and switches the index fingers at both at them, from right to left, from left to right. Miss Tatum walks into the room. "Good Morning Class!" she says in a cheery tone. 15 minutes later…Tanya looks quite chubby, but isn't the only source of attention in the class because Gertrude looks about 10 years old at that moment. 15 minutes after that…Tanya is now obese but hasn't noticed everyone laughing and pointing at her and the now 8 year old Gertrude who is looking down at her baggy clothes in surprise and Sally and Jen are staring at each other from accross the room in shock.

Tanya has finally noticed how fat she is now and is trying to avoid every person in sight as Gertrude is struggling to keep her once skinny but now baggy jeans up. Sally is shouting at Jen in Jen's own accent and Jen is answering in Sally's cowgirl slang.
