- Intro: After Chapter 1 and Before Chapter 2
"So what is it that you're looking for by coming to me?" the young therapist asked as she sat on her chair holding a clipboard on her lap and an ink pen in the left hand. She sat across from a man who sat in a sulky and depressed demeanor, avoiding eye contact with the brown eyed doctor with the thin glasses.
"I want to forget someone for the passed nine years..." he said coldly as he looked at the clipboard to avoid eye contact. The depression in the man's voice easily overshadowed his gloomy out appearance and perfectly settled the cold gray world outside.
The therapist adjusted her glasses slightly before crossing her legs and tilting her head to get a better look and the sullen man.
"Why would you want to forget someone?"
"Because I can't move forward so long as I do," he said as rain once again began to beat against the window. "It's been months and I get more obsessed as time goes on. I've been in and out of the nuthouse. I've even considered killing her and myself. Every other woman I've laid with since only reminds me of a bootleg version of my wife."
She began writing on the clipboard as the light skinned man with the puffy hair ran his hand over his hair, trying to cover the growing bald spot that he'd come to accept.
"It won't be easy... and it's not exactly erasing the memories..."
"I don't care..." he replied. "I'll pay whatever, and I'll go through whatever. Just get rid of her and anything pertaining to."
Unbeknownst to the broken man in the black hoodie, their consultation was being watched from behind a two sided mirror that sat across from the rain bombarded window. One of the three was a doctor that the patient was familiar with from his passed endeavors in the mental hospital.
"See..." the doctor said to a man in a business suit. "he's perfect for the project. he fits the physical as well as being mentally unstable."
"Indeed... we hit the jackpot with this one," said the enigmatic man in the business suit. he stood around six feet tall with a medium build and dark hair, shades covering his eyes although they were gathered in a dark room.
More intriguing than the two men secretly observing and discussing this supposed confidential session was the small child that stood beside the man in the suit watching as well. He wore a navy blue suit with a black tie, his skin pale and his eyes brown yet colder than any child had ever had. His hair, too, was dark black, though maybe darker than that because of the dim lighting. As he stood there viewing, observing as adults did, his eyes slowly came unglued from the depressed man in the black sweatshirt and slowly crawled their way to gaze at the face of the tall man.
"Bring him aboard," the child said with a soft and innocent voice.
"Understood," the tall man said as he quickly retrieved a plane from his pocket and pressed a button, situating the cell phone against his ear. "Intercept him at the lobby. Get him into the program."
