"Yeah, she was really upset, crying hysterically, screaming out, but she's okay I guess, just resting, it's the best for her," Ian said to somebody. Nobody answered so I figured he was speaking on the phone. "Yeah Sharon, I'll tell her, bye."
"Who's that?" I heard Christian's voice.
"That's our boss," Ian informed him.
"My mom was crying?" Christian asked. Oh my baby.
"Yeah, she was really upset, she wanted to kill the driver," Ian chuckled. Christian laughed and I smiled in my head, he was laughing.
"Yeah, that doesnt sound like my mom at all," Christian laughed.
"I had to hold her back before that guy was given a room here also," Ian said.
"Oh man, I'm going to have to have a serious talk with my mother," Christian said. "Do you go out with her?"
"Christian, I want to but I dont want to rush your mother," Ian breathed out.
"Ma really liked that kiss, she told me and she really likes you, she also told me. Keep this secret between me and you," Christian said. "But I think she loves you."
"Loves? What do you know about love?" Ian chuckled. His arms held me tightly against him.
"I know the way my ma looks at you is just something that isn't a crush, it's more than a crush, I think she loves you," Christian continued.
"Keep a secret between me you?" Ian said. "But I love her."
"See, ask her to be your wife," Christian said.
"Wife? First it's girlfriend," Ian said.
"Well, then today ask her to be your girlfriend and then tomorrow your wife," Christian said.
"I wish!"
"Then make your wish come true." I decided it was my time to wake up. I opened my eyes and rubbed my eyes, looking around. Ian smiled at me and I smiled back. Then I looked at Christian and smiled.
"Oh god Christian, how are you?" I asked as I got up from Ian's lap. His hands circled my waist as they let go of me. I walked to Christian and kissed his forehead.
"I'm fine ma, how are you? I heard you almost put a man in the hospital," Christian chuckled. I smiled and nodded.
"Anything for you baby," I said to him. He smiled and held my hand.
"Ma, would you do anything for me, really?" he asked me. I stared at him suspiciosly.
"I have a feeling, this isn't about a new game coming out," I frowned. He shook his head and looked back at Ian. I turned to look at Ian and he shrugged.
"Ma, can you please be his girlfriend, please! You can forget about my games, for my birthday I want you to be his girlfriend," he said with that puppy face he knows I cannot resist. I bit my lip and looked down at him.
"Christian, don't sell out your games for me," Ian chuckled. I laughed lightly and looked down at Christian.
"It's worth it, I need a new dad anyways," he said with a smile to Ian. He looked up at me and smiled at me, those blue eyes piercing me.
"Ma, please?" I looked at Ian and he smiled at me, that smile telling me, "Ha, you can't win this time." I smiled and nodded.
"Sure, I'll be his girlfriend," I said to Christian, then I turned to Ian who breathed out and smiled.
"Good, because now I want you two to kiss."
"Ma, aren't you going to work?" Christian asked me as I flickered my eyes open.
"No, Ian told Sharon that I'll be here until you get to go home," I said as I yawned. "Why are you awake anyways, go back to sleep." I closed my eyes but his laughter woke me up.
"Ma, I'm not sleepy anymore," he said. I frowned and looked at him.
"Well I am," I complained.
"So go back to sleep, I'll just try to watch tv or something," he said as he looked up at the flat screen tv. I closed my eyes, getting some more sleep.
"She's not awake yet? Sheesh, it would seem she's the one who got hit by a car," Ian's voice woke me up. I groaned and felt him kissed my forehead.
"Wake up, I brought you guys lunch," he said. I opened my eyes and met his brown ones. He smiled and bent down to kiss me but I backed up and shook my head. I pointed to my mouth.
"I dont care," he said as he kissed me softly. I frowned and back up, going to the bathroom to brush my teeth quickly with the hospital toothbrush and toothpaste.
"Okay, thanks for bringing lunch, can you stay with him until I go home and get him some clothes so he can take a shower and I need to take a quick shower also," I begged him. "I won't be long, I promise."
"Take your time," Ian said as he waved me off, he started opening the lid of a big cup, it had soup.
"Ma, please bring me back my laptop ma, I don't want to die of boredom," Christian begged me softly. I laughed and nodded, running with my keys in my hand as I went to my car. God, he was going to be in here for days. He was going to be behind in his school work and I was going to be behind in my work.
"Well, ma, you actually were quick," Christian laughed as I walked in with a big bag full of his clothes and his laptop, his charger and games.
"Told you, did you eat already?" I asked him as I put the bag and the laptop down.
"Yeah, we saved some for you," Christian said. I smiled and nodded.
"But first, we need to take you a shower," I said. "You think you can get on your feet?"
"Yeah ma," he said as he got off the bed along with the IV. He stood up, did a 180 due to the IV.
"Good, now go into the bathroom, take a quick warm shower, take your clothes with you," I waved him off. He sighed and walked into the bathroom.
"Come here Raine," Ian said as soon as the bathroom door closed after Christian entered it. I walked to Ian and he pulled me down on his lap.
"Kiss me," he said against my ear. I grabbed his head and kissed him roughly. Holding him tightly against me. He groaned and bit my botton lip.
"Are you sure you want to be my girlfriend?" he asked me.
"Yes, I'm sure, are you sure you want to be my boyfriend knowing that I had a son when I was 14?" I asked him, backing up. He breathed out, cupping my head in his hands.
"Baby, I love that kid, I want to have another one, just like him, just this time, we're both the parents," he said. He kissed me softly.
"I know you think we are rushing but I've loved you since that first day I met you," he said. I smiled and pressed my forehead to his.
"I fell in love with you too," I said to him. He smiled.
"Well then, it's official."
On Thursday, Christian was able to come home and I was really happy.
"See, now you have alot of work to catch up," I informed him as we ate lunch at the small dining table.
"I know, I'm upset now," he frowned as he ate the spaghetti. I nodded.
"I know but I'll help you," I said as I got up to start washing dishes. The door knocked and I knew that it was Ian.
"Go get that please," I told Christian. He nodded and walked softly to the front door. He still had to be careful, his bone was a bit fragile from hitting the ground hard. I frowned as I watched him walk.
"Hi Ian," he smiled. His eyes shinning, his smile bright. Ian tossed his hair and walked in, gave Christian a bag from the game stop store. I smiled as Christian looked inside, the new game he wanted, modern warfare 3 was in there.
"Oh my god, thanks!" he said as he hugged him, rushing to the living room to start playing it. Ian smiled as he watched him run to the living room. He walked towards the kitchen and put his arms around me.
"Hey, I can see he's better," he said. I nodded and turned my head to kiss his jaw. He bent down more, kissing my lips.
"Now he won't catch up on his homework," I said as I frowned at him. He chuckled and I continued washing the dishes.
"Yeah he will Raine, I'll help him," he said. I turned off the faucet and dried my hands on the towel. I turned around and gave him a proper kiss. He backed up and smiled.
"Hell yeah," he said against my lips. I nodded, kissing him a little rougher. Then I heard the shooting start and Christian started laughing, cheering. I backed up, trying hard not to laugh. Ian chuckled, hugging me tight. It felt good being in his arms. I pressed my head to his chest and hugged him back.
"I love you," he said softly in my ears. I smiled hard, looking up at him.
"I love you too, thanks for getting him that game," I said to him.
"Hey, don't thank me," he said against my lips.
"Don't you have to go back to work?" I asked him. He pulled back, leaning on the counter beside me, turning me so I could lean on him.
"Yeah but Sharon said we've out did her, we have more information then she needs," he informed me.
"Is she already working at the striper club?" I asked him. He shook his head.
"This weekend she starts, I'm still debating if I get a undercover job there as a bouncer, for protection," he said. I shook my head.
"Don't do it, it's dangerous," I said as I heard Christian's laugh.
"I know Raine," he said against my hair. "But this is my job, it's what I do." I frowned and hugged him tight, breathing hard.
"Baby, look at me," he said quietly. I looked up and he kissed me gently. "Everything is going to be alright, okay?" I shook my head, backing away from him.
"I dont want you doing it, it's dangerous, think about how Christian would feel," I said, trying to avoid how I would feel if something happened to him.
"Don't do this to me," he said as he walked towards me. I walked down the hall to my bedroom, looking for my phone.
"Go do it if you want, I can't stop you," I complained to him. He laid on my bed, watching me move around, fixing things in order to find my phone.
"Come on baby, don't do this baby, okay I won't do it," he said. I smiled and ran to jump on top of him, my legs straddling his lap. His hands went to my waist and he frowned.
"Good," I said as I bent down to kiss him.
"Hm, if this my reward for things I shouldnt do, I won't do alot then," he said as he backed up. I blushed and looked down. He chuckled and pulled me down on the bed, now he was on top of him. I wrapped my legs around him and he kissed me. I wanted to moan but I couldnt.
"Stop before my son walks in," I said to him. He laughed and sat up, looking down at me. I smiled and held his hand. We sat there, staring at each other until Christian came running to the room, screaming.
"What happened?" Ian said as he was about to jump off the bed, in his fighting mood. Then Christian laughed and jumped on Ian.
"Thank you daddy, thank you so much for getting me that game, I just won the first level!" Christian screamed as his tiny arms went around Ian's neck. Ian's arms holding him tight. I stared at them, holding each other there. I couldnt hold it in, I got off the bed, walking out the room and walking to the bathroom, locking the door, hyperventilating.
I've been a bad mother. Oh god, I've failed as a mother. I couldnt make him happy. I started crying, dropping to the floor against the door. The door knocked and I sniffled.
"Who?" I asked lamely.
"It's me ma," Christian said. I moved to the side and he fell to the ground, sitting on my lap, wrapping his arms around me. His face snuggled into my neck. Ian leaning on the doorway from my bedroom door, staring at us. "Ma?" I cried into his tiny shoulder, feeling his arms tighten.
"I've been a bad mother to you Christian," I cried out. He shook his head.
"Nope ma, you've been the best mother ever," he said as he kissed my cheek. I shook my head.
"I'm just to scared to give you a daddy like you always wanted because I'm scared he's going to leave us like your real daddy did," I confessed up, the tears wetting his shirt.
"Ma, I dont have a real daddy, you said so yourself, he doesnt want us, he's not a real man," Christian said. Oh god, he's a 10 year old boy telling me he doesnt have a real daddy.
"I've been trying to protect you from everything bad and now look, you want a daddy, and I can't even try to give you that," I continued crying. He laughed and he backed up, looking into my eyes.
"Ma, look at him, you are trying," Christian said as he smiled again. I looked at Ian and he stood there, his brown eyes piercing mine.
"Mommy, you are the best mother ever, even if I don't have a daddy," he said. He stood up and looked down at me. "Now ma, I'm going to go play modern warfare 3 and kick some butt but you better fix yourself, dry your tears and smile." He kissed my forehead and walked away. As soon as he was outta reach, I choked with the tears held in my throat. Ian dropped to the floor, pulling me into his arms. I cried out into him. He didnt say anything, nothing at all but soothe me without words.
"Marry me Ian, I dont care if we've started being with each other for only a week but marry me, I need to give him a daddy, I need to make him happy," I cried into his neck. He shook his head.
"I'm not marrying you," he said. I backed up, shocked.
"What?"
"I'm not marrying you if you don't want me as a real husband, he's already happy, but he wants you happy, I can't marry you just to make someone happy who already is happy, I'm sorry baby, I won't do it," he said quietly. I looked down, feeling embarassed. "I can't do it. I will only marry you if you actually want me apart of your family."
"I'm sorry, I just, I feel so guilty for being selfish," I confessed. He picked my head up with both of his hands.
"Baby, you shouldnt feel guilty, the boy even told you he's happy, he really is, he told you he he wants you happy, so be happy, please, be happy, with me," he said as he kissed my lips softly. I started hyperventilating. He backed up, staring at my eyes.
"Oh god, I can't breathe," I started breathing hard. "Oh god." I was having a panic attack, oh god, oh god...
"Raine, listen to me, you're fine, breathe in and out baby, come on, in and out," he said. I followed as he breathed in and out with me. I shook my head and continued to breathe in and out.
"There, continue doing that and you'll feel fine," he said and I obeyed his orders. We probably looked like fools breathing in and out, looking like we were about to give birth or something.
"Forgive me Ian," I said to him. He nodded, hugging me tight.
"Ian?" Christian asked softly. We both looked up.
"Yeah?" Ian smiled at him. Then Christian looked at me.
"Can I call you dad?" Christian looked down, the obvious blush. Ian looked at me and I smiled innocently.
"Yeah Christian, you can call me dad."
