Live and Let Live

I’m really not that clever

But even I can see

That how you choose to live your life

Really isn’t up to me.

Every one of us is different

Sometimes annoying, yes it’s true

But each of us has qualities

A spark that does shine through.

I’m patient and understanding

Compassionate and kind

And if you are not perfect

I really do not mind.

I accept that we’re individuals

With opinions, hopes and fears

I can empathise and sympathise

I’ll even wipe your tears.

I won’t agree with everything

That you say and do

But I’ll tell you honestly what I think

Then it’s really up to you.

No-one on earth is perfect

As long as you try to be

Loving, thoughtful and honest

Then that’s just fine by me.

Each of us is has good and bad

Things about us, but that’s okay

For God broke the moulds when he made us

All unique in every way.
