Favourite Books: There's so many aren't there? I inherited a collection of volumes entitled 'The World's Great Books' (Arthur Mee) from around the turn of the 20th century. These consist of literally hundreds of 'epitomes', or extremely shortened versions of literature from Greek tragedies through to, what was then, present day. I can go to bed with Aucassin et Nicolette, Cato or even Charles Reade. A beautiful mixture of letterpress text with some lithographed plates (sorry that's the printer in me)
Favourite Authors: General reading has to be: Douglas Adams, Robert Rankin and Bernard Cornwell.

Interests: I love history for the tangents it sends you off on. I admit to loving Wikepedia for the links and further reading that, if left to my own devices, the kids would not get up for school and, like as not, the dog starve. Oh and biographies and 19th century maritime history and...
